Hi Emilie,
Welcome to planDisney!
Since both of our girls have food allergies and one has significant food allergies (including a nut allergy), your question caught my attention!
Prior to each trip, we make a list of the dining locations we want to visit. We then check the menus at each location by going to the homepage and clicking on View Menu. If you scroll down on the menus, you should be able to see allergy-friendly options. Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of our favorite restaurants. The
lunch menu includes allergy-friendly options. If you cannot find your child's allergies on the menus, I suggest that you contact the
Special Diets Team. Quite honestly, however, we will research what we can beforehand and then just speak with a chef when we get to the restaurant.
Cast members have been incredibly helpful as we have navigated the parks and resorts with our daughters' food allergies. If there is nothing on the menu that our daughter with the most allergies can eat, the chefs have always found something they could prepare. We may have to wait a little longer, but our food comes out together, she enjoys it, and she feels supported by the cast members at the restaurant.
I will say that, because of her allergies, we tend to dine at table-service restaurants rather than quick-service. You can also check the quick-service menus for allergy-friendly options. We prefer to speak to a cast member before ordering but we have used
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. Now that our girls have been several times and are older, they have a much better sense of what they can order from our favorite dining locations.
Emilie, we also bring a few of our own snacks or we order delivery from a food delivery service to have those snacks delivered when we arrive. So, just remember to check the menus, contact the Special Diets Team, bring a few snacks and I think you will be able to manage. Both of our girls also have EpiPens, so we always have them packed in our park bags just in case. I hope this helps!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
