Hi Jennifer, welcome back to planDisney!
Madame Leota told me you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. She and the 999 happy haunts are dying to see you at The Haunted Mansion. Experiencing this iconic attraction during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party offers next-level ghoulish delights. You've been warned.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to Magic Kingdom park this year on select nights beginning August 12. The official party hours are 7:00 p.m. to midnight, though Guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. with their party ticket. As long as you are entering Magic Kingdom after 4:00 p.m., no theme park reservation is required.
Last year,
Disney Genie+ service and Individual Lightning Lane purchases were not available during Disney After Hours Boo Bash and I do not expect them to be available during this year's Halloween parties either. One of the draws of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that it boasts shorter wait times throughout the park. Based on my experience, the lowest of the low wait times occur after Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular. I also recommend viewing the second Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and experiencing attractions while many families are viewing the first parade.
We have not heard whether or not Lightning Lanes will be available for Halloween party Guests from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on party days. My family plans to use that pre-party time to experience attractions via the standby queue that will not be open during the party such as Country Bear Jamboree, Mickey's PhilharMagic, and The Hall of Presidents. These specific attractions also boast large, air-conditioned spaces, which makes them ideal for a pre-sunset Disney day in August. For more Halloween party tips, I encourage you to check out Episode 3 of the planDisney podcast, which I've linked to the right of this response.
Little Leota wants me to remind you to
hurry back to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
