Hi there, Sarah! Welcome back to planDisney! It's been a while since you last stopped by, and we're so glad you're here. We always love when our friends come see us again!
Before we hop into answering your question, I do want to mention that sales of new Annual Passes are still on hold for the moment as the Walt Disney World Resort continues operating under its phased reopening procedures. They may very well return by November, but as I write to you, Disney has yet to announce a date that Annual Pass sales will resume. You'll want to keep an eye on the
Parks and Tickets: Know Before You Go page on the Walt Disney World website for up-to-the-minute information.
And now, planDisney presents: your question! I did a little research, and from what I can tell, Disney doesn't have a way to prorate or shorten the length of an Annual Pass to make it match up with the expiration dates on the other passes you plan to buy. The term of an Annual Pass is one year from when you purchase it, and I don't see a way to change that. It seems your best option might be to
buy your daughter regular theme park tickets during the gap between her birthday and the expiration date of your passes, and then purchase a new Annual Pass for her when you renew yours.
Sarah, it might help to speak with a Cast Member to see if they have any ideas that could close that gap sooner. You can call Guest Relations at the number listed for "New Tickets" or click on the "Chat" icon on the
Contacts page to get in touch with someone in person.
I hope this helps you plan a wonderful year of Disney magic Sarah. Please don't hesitate to come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
