Hiya, Anndra, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Like you, I’m looking forward to planning future vacations, and I’m thrilled that you’re heading to the
Happiest Place on Earth this spring! Yes, theme-park tickets do expire, however, that information will be available on the website when you’re purchasing tickets in the future. The expiration date will also appear on the tickets themselves. I have some good news, Anndra -- although tickets expire, the value of the tickets do not. So, if your unused tickets aren't able to be used before they expire, you can bring them to any of the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booths, located just outside the entrances of
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. There, you can simply pay the difference between the original price you paid and the current ticket price, in order to upgrade to a ticket that is valid at that time.
Unfortunately, new ticket sales, new Annual Passport sales, renewals, and upgrades
have been temporarily paused at this time. I recommend keeping your eyes on the
Disney Parks Blog and on
Disneyland.com for more information about when new ticket sales and Annual Passport sales will resume. I’m crossing my fingers that time will come soon! I’m truly missing visits to Disneyland Resort!
Have you thought about where you’d like to stay? You can’t go wrong with any of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels! My personal favorite is
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, thanks to its convenient location just outside of Disney California Adventure Park. Plus, it’s a unique and beautiful resort!
The Disneyland Hotel is my family’s favorite spot, thanks to the awesome Monorail Waterslides -- my children could play on them for hours! Last but not least,
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is a beach-themed dream! The nighttime views of Disney California Adventure Park are breathtaking!
I hope this helps as you start planning your magical getaway, Anndra! Please stop by with any additional planning questions… we’re all EARs!
