Hi Jenn,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am happy to see you planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you are only purchasing
theme park tickets through the Walt Disney World Resort, you would need to pay for the tickets in full upfront. If you are also considering staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you could reserve a vacation package which includes a resort hotel and theme park tickets. When booking a
vacation package, you can
pay a deposit to hold the package and then make payments until the final payment is due.
Lots of people strategize in different ways to budget for their vacations. Disney Gift cards are one of my ways to pre-plan and budget, so when people ask what to give our girls as gifts, we always suggest a Disney Gift Card. We also save money throughout the year; the girls save their birthday money and we use it towards a portion of our trip. As you consider your theme park tickets, be sure to check the pricing calendar since prices could vary depending on the dates of your stay.
Once you purchase those tickets and/or book your vacation package, check the
Disney Park Pass system availability calendar for the dates of your visit and make
Disney Park Pass system reservations if your dates are available. Also consider making
advanced dining reservations. We have our favorite restaurants that often get booked early, so we definitely make advanced dining reservations before we visit!
Jenn, keep your eye on the
operational updates as policies and procedures could change. I am sending a little extra savings pixie dust trusting that you can budget accordingly and purchase those tickets soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
