I am looking to purchase tickets for Disneyland, and was wondering if I have to order the one park per day tickets separate from a park hopper? I was hoping to have one park hopper day, and it doesn't appear to let me make multiple options.

Hi there, Lauren. Welcome to planDisney!

I’m so glad you stopped by with your question for us. It looks like you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth in early March and having some trouble with purchasing your Park Hopper ticket. I love having the flexibility of going from one park to another; the close proximity of the 2 parks make this such a breeze.

Let me try to walk you through the process of purchasing a Park Hopper ticket. On the Disneyland Resort website, hover your cursor over “Tickets & Parks” and click on “Buy Theme Park Tickets”. Scroll down a bit and you’ll see a box on the left that says “Standard Theme Park Ticket” with a little check mark. Then scroll down and select the number of days you plan to enjoy the parks. You will then be asked the number of tickets you need. Afterwards, you will be directed to Select Your Ticket Type. This is where you will click on “Park Hopper” which is below “One Park Per Day”. Press “Continue” and you will be asked to select which day you plan on visiting and which park you wish to start your day. After 11 AM on the day of your visit, you will be able to switch to the other park and go back-and-forth (subject to park’s capacity limitations).

I hope this helps, Lauren. If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us again on planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
