Hello, I am looking to purchase tickets for Blizzard Beach for one day the week of May 15th, will I need to make a reservation ? and what if for some reason the trip has to be cancelled ?

Hello, Dana! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.

Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is so much fun. I am so glad that one of the Walt Disney World water parks have reopened so we can enjoy it all summer long. At this time, making a park pass reservation for Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is not required. You can purchase tickets online in advance. However, if you think you might not make it, I would just wait and purchase tickets when you arrive. There is a ticket booth right outside of the entrance gates at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and the tickets are the same price as ordering them online. This way, you won't have to hassle with trying to get your money back if you purchase online and end up not going.

Since the reopening of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park just a few weeks ago, some of the safety regulations and rules have been updated. At this time, Guests are required to wear a face-covering when entering and exiting Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Face coverings are also required when at food service locations and retail areas. Face coverings of any kind are not allowed on water slides or in any of the pools at the water park. You'll also be required to keep physical distancing between you and other parties while enjoying the water park.

While you are visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, I hope you'll take a turn competing on the Tobbagan Racers which happens to be my family's favorite attraction there. This is a slalom-style waterslide where you'll lay on your belly and race to the bottom on little rafts. My family is super competitive and we will race over and over again until a clear winner is crowned. Then, after we've had our fill of splish-splashing in the Florida sun there is no better way to end a day at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park than enjoying some hot mini doughnuts rolled in cinnamon and sugar. It's a classic water park treat and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend grabbing a dozen or two.

Dana, I do hope you end up visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. It's such a fun way to spend a day at Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions about your trip, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
