I am looking to purchase the premium character dining is lunch or dinner a better option for my daughter to see some of her favorite characters?

Hi, Katrina! It's so nice to chat with you a second time!

Premium character dining vouchers at the Disneyland Resort can be used for meals at Goofy's Kitchen or Disney's PCH Grill. (Ariel's Grotto used to be an option, but is currently closed for refurbishment.) If you purchase regular character dining vouchers as part of your vacation package, you may use those at either the Plaza Inn or Storytellers Cafe. Let me break down each option for you, but keep in mind that character line ups are always subject to change:

-Goofy's Kitchen: This is a really fun character buffet located in the Disneyland Hotel for either breakfast or dinner. You will meet Goofy and a few of his friends like Pluto, Chip, Dale, Minnie, and if you do dinner, Mickey.

-Surf’s Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends at Disney's PCH Grill: This character meal is for breakfast only and is located in Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. You'll meet Mickey upon entering the restaurant and then some of his pals like Daisy, Minnie, Pluto, and Stitch.

-Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn: This is another character meal offered only during breakfast. This one is my absolute top pick as you will meet so many characters like Minnie, Captain Hook, Chip, Dale, Tigger, Eeyore, Rafiki, and an assortment of others.

-Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Critter Breakfast at Storytellers Cafe: Located in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, this meal has an expansive breakfast buffet and you'll meet woodland characters like Chip, Dale, Koda, and Meeko.

So while lunch isn't currently an option, you still have many great meals to choose from! You can make your reservations up to 60 days in advance online, on the Disneyland app, or by calling (714) 781-3463. Happy eating!
