Hi. I am looking to purchase the Pixie Dust Pass. I was wondering if I would be able to upgrade to the Pirate pass at a later time if I chose?

Hi Andrew and welcome to planDisney!

One of the best perks of living in the Sunshine State is being a Walt Disney World Passholder!  We love living so close to the magic, which gives us the flexibility to visit the theme parks as often as possible.

Currently all tiers of Walt Disney World annual passes are available for purchase, which means that you can upgrade your Disney Pixie Dust Pass to a Disney Pirate Pass.  Per the Disney Parks Blog Post announcing the return of annual pass sales, "the quantity of passes will be limited and passes, or a pass type, may become unavailable for purchase at any time."  If the Disney Pirate Pass or other pass types sell out, upgrades will not be available.  If you know for sure that you will need the additional park days that the Pirate Pass allows, I suggest upgrading when you can.

If you haven't already, I highly suggest adding the Disney PhotoPass Downloads option to your annual pass.  This gives you an entire year of downloads for any photos taken with a Disney PhotoPass Photographer as well as theme park attraction photos.  They can be downloaded instantly right from the My Disney Experience Mobile App and shared with family, friends and on social media.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
