Hey there Domenic, I'm glad to welcome you to planDisney!

As someone who had a surprise proposal here at Walt Disney World Resort, I can tell you it's definitely one of those key moments that become a core memory for any Disney fan. You probably won't be surprised to hear that proposing in front of Cinderella Castle happens quite frequently so I can understand why you'd want to make sure it's extra special! I put a lot of research into putting together the perfect Disney engagement, and I'm happy to share some Princely pointers to help you pop the question:

While at the current time, Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons don't actually plan or coordinate any proposals at Walt Disney World Resort, they do offer suggestions for Enchanting Extras that you can book on your own to commemorate the occasion. The options range from in-room surprises or specialty cakes during a meal, to experiences like tours and special events.

If you're aiming at an evening proposal, I recommend looking into booking one of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties that occur either before or after the fireworks; this provides you access to an exclusive viewing area in the Plaza Garden with a view of Cinderella Castle as you watch Happily Ever After together - be sure to check the Park Hours and entertainment schedule so you can plan around it! Personally, I recommend popping the question at around 17 minutes into the show after the song "Go the Distance", which gives you just enough time before the big finale!

If however you want to do it earlier and still have a fairly clear space in front of Cinderella Castle, there's usually a sweet spot immediately following shows like Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire as crowds disperse during the day or during Let the Magic Begin that takes place right before Magic Kingdom park opens. This way you can hop on all the rides and attractions during the day without worrying about the ring!

One of the offerings that's become popular for proposals is a Capture Your Moment - Magic Kingdom Park session which is a great way to ensure that you have your very own Disney PhotoPass photographer ready who may even have some special props on hand to add to the shot! These sessions last for about 20 minutes and when we did it, I was able to speak with them beforehand about locations where we really wanted to take photos - which could be a great opportunity to fill them in on your intention to propose during the session.
