I am looking at PP+ and PhotoCD. I can't find a lot of info. What are the benefits of each of them? With the char. din. can't we take pics, are diff pics taken? We have a 1 and a 3 yr old. We are going for 5 days, but only parks for 3 days. Is it worth it?

    Hi Nikki!

PhotoPass is a great way to capture some wonderful memories at Walt Disney World, photographers are located throughout the parks ready to take beautiful pictures of you family in front of many classic Disney World icons such as Cinderella Castle, the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom and at character meet and greets. This service is complimentary and you can choose to order your pictures individually. The PhotoPass CD offers guests all of their vacation photos placed onto a CD where you can also add graphics and boarders to them.  The CD will also contain images that Disney has taken that can make great photographs and you are also able to add your own pictures to the CD.  The CD comes with a release so you can have these photos printed yourself at your leisure.
PhotoPass+ can be thought of as an expansion pack to the PhotoPass CD, it allows photos from attractions and character dining to also be added to your PhotoPass CD.  Since most of the attractions that are included in this will probably be ones that your little ones will not be experiencing, it might not be the best value for your family.  Although at many character meals you will have pictures taken before you are seated, these photos are usually offered for sale during your meal unless they are included in the price such as Cinderella's Royal Table or Akershus.  If you plan to do a lot of character dining and anticipate purchasing these pictures, it may actually save you some money to upgrade to PhotoPass+.
Occasionally I will have PhotoPass photographers who are more than happy to take pictures with my personal camera, but that is a nice bonus and not the case every single time. The expense of purchasing the PhotoPass CD or PhotoPass+ makes sense if you do plan to have a lot of pictures taken at the parks.
I hope this helps and please visit us again if you have anymore questions!

    Best Wishes!
