We are looking at a possible Disney cruise in August 2013. I wanted to fly in the night before, stay overnight and then head to the port. Are there any rental car agencies at the port? Might we be able to do a one way rental from airport to the port?

    Hi Kathleen!

You have a great idea staying in Florida on the night before your Disney Cruise to make sure that you are at Port Canaveral in plenty of time on departure day!  There are lots of rental car agencies at the Orlando International Airport and at Port Canaveral (Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and Thrifty to name a few).  Yes you can do a one way rental from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral.  When you sign up for your rental car just make sure that you tell them that it is a one way rental.  Another option is to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort on the night before (like at a Value Resort).  You can take Magical Express to your Walt Disney World Resort.  Then you can book a ground transfer from your Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral through Disney Cruise Line. You can book these ground transfers by calling 1-(800) 951-3532.  I have done a Disney Cruise Line ground transfer from a Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral for a Disney Cruise twice now and it is very easy and convenient.

I hope that your Disney Cruise is simply magical!
