Welcome home, Leonard! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I'm always delighted to have the chance to chat with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction to use your Membership for a magical sailing with
Disney Cruise Line.
When we joined DVC, one of the really appealing aspects of the program was the ability to use your
Vacation Points in lots of different ways. Ten years later, we've traveled to nearly all of the DVC resorts and enjoyed some time at sea with DCL, too!
Sailings with Disney Cruise Line are possible through a points exchange, where your standard Vacation Points are exchanged for Reservation Points that can be used for DCL vacations, stays at
Disney Collection properties around the world, and trips with
Adventures by Disney and
National Geographic Expeditions.
The
Points Charts for DCL sailings will show you how many points you'll need for specific itineraries, accommodation types, and dates. Leonard, one Guest in your stateroom must be booked entirely with points. You cannot combine points and cash for that individual, although you
can designate an infant or child as the points-only Guest as they will require fewer points than an adult Guest. You can use points or cash to cover the other Guests in your travel party.
To book your cruise vacation, contact
Member Services. The friendly Cast Members will handle the transaction to exchange your points, and can then make your cruise reservation. Keep in mind that the exchange carries a one-time, non-refundable fee (currently $95, subject to change). Once you're booked, you can start making plans to make your cruise an unforgettable one - our planDisney DCL experts are ready and waiting with all of their best tips and tricks!
Leonard, I hope that the stars align for you to book your dream vacation with your Vacation Points! Please don't hesitate to reach out to our planDisney crew again if we can help with other details of this or any other Disney adventures.
Stay (and Sail!) Magical,
Susan
