Hello, We are looking at planning a trip to Disney next Nov/Dec Our children will be 5 and 7. We are looking to go to see the Christmas decorations. When are the decorations up? When is the best week to go when crowds are low?

    Hi Colleen!

Nothing beats Christmas at Walt Disney World!  It's a wonderful time of year to visit, as the entire resort is decorated from top to bottom in celebration of the holiday!  The decorating starts in early November, and continues through the month.  Usually the finishing touches are finished by Thanksgiving.

Looking at next year's calendar, I'd suggest December 1 through December 18 for the best times to go for lower crowd levels.  We've vacationed several times in the beginning of December, and it is a great time to go, but the weather can be unpredictable.  It can be chilly and windy, or 80 degrees, so make sure that check the weather prior to your vacation.  Those early season cold fronts can be quite refreshing, or downright chilly!

    Have a magical vacation!
