Hi MrGari,
Welcome to planDisney! Well, I am happy to say that you have come to the right place for help with Walt Disney World Resort planning. We can certainly get you started!
First, go to the Walt Disney World website and create a
My Disney Experience account. Once you create that account, you need to make sure that everyone who will be traveling with you has a profile in that account. If no one else has a My Disney Experience account, you can simply go to the
My Family & Friends List and click on Add a Guest to add each person. You will select the option to enter their name and age and then to manage their plans. If folks are traveling with you who have their own My Disney Experience accounts, you will need go to the My Family & Friends List, click on Add a Guest, enter their name and age, and then send them an invitation to connect using the email address associated with their My Disney Experience account. Once they accept your invitation, you will be able to see each other's shared plans.
Next, I suggest that you review the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Review the room types, photos, and amenities at each resort hotel. My family loves Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort because they all have fantastic amenities including multiple transportation options. Disney's Contemporary Resort is still one of our iconic favorites because the
resort monorail passes right through it! When I need to consider more budget-friendly options, I have enjoyed Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Both are super fun and have access to the
Disney Skyliner.
Once you have reviewed the resort hotel options, it's time to price a vacation package. Just click on the
vacation package link, then click on the link that says Book your Walt Disney World Vacation today. Once you click on that link, you will need to enter your travel dates, number of people in your party, and ages of children traveling with you. When you search, you will be able to compare prices across resort hotels. Once you are ready to book, you can make that reservation online. If it does not automatically link in your My Disney Experience account, you will need to use the confirmation number to
link it.
MrGari, trust me, I remember that feeling of loss when trying to plan our first trip with our girls. It had been a while since my last visit and so much had changed! If you have any more questions, please do come back and visit us!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
