I am looking at planning our first Disney Cruise for April 2012 and was wondering what is the best direction to take? Is it easier booking online or through a travel agent as I have not done either before. Thanks so much!

    Hi, Rebecca!

Congratulations on considering a Disney Cruise vacation for you and your family -- you're going to wonder why you've never sailed with Disney before now!

It's super easy to book either way -- it really depends on your preferences.  If you like the personal touch and want to ask lots of questions, you can either call Disney Cruise Line (DCL) at (800) 951-3532, consult your local travel agent or contact a Disney vacation specialist online.  My hometown favorite -- to answer all my endless questions-- is my local AAA office.

If you would prefer to do your research online, I encourage you to exhaust the DisneyCruise.com website -- checking out all the pages, downloading the e-brochure, ordering the FREE DVD and watching all the videos.  Then, when you're informed and ready, head over to the Find a Cruise Page and start entering your information. You'll receive a quote and the opportunity to start booking your vacation.  It's really that simple!

For me, I actually do a combination of approaches.  I like to obtain an online quote and talk to a booking agent at Disney, and then, I compare that information to what I receive from my local AAA travel agent.  Sometimes I get better deals from Disney directly, and sometimes I get a better offer from my local agent.  You just have to roll up your sleeves and do your homework. I hope that helps!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
