Bonjour Cyndi!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet. I am so happy that you stopped by to ask us your question, and I was so excited when I saw a fellow Canadian in our queue! Helping fellow Canadians plan their Disney trips always makes my heart so full. Plus, you will be celebrating such special occasions! When you check into your Disney Resort hotel, be sure to pick up your complimentary "Happily Ever After" and "Happy Birthday" buttons. They are essential to all celebrations!
Now, let's talk about those incredible offerings and how you can make your anniversary and your sons' birthdays extra magical! First, you are correct that you will have to plan your mode of transportation from the airport to your Disney Resort hotel and vice versa. Thankfully, there are different options that you can choose from at the
Orlando International Airport. You can either use a shuttle service such as Mears Connect, rideshare or taxi services or rent a car. Since these options vary in prices and length of travel, I would suggest looking into which one best fits your needs. For example, if you would like to have more independence during your stay, I love having my own car to drive to and from the theme parks. However, if you would rather have a carefree vacation, I suggest using the Mears Connect service.
The Halloween and Holiday seasons are some of my favourite times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, and I am so excited that you will get to experience them! The great news is that this coming fall,
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will be returning to the Resort with all its spooktacular activities and offerings. If you have never been to one of the Halloween parties, they are the best way to get a unique visit to the Magic Kingdom Park and get into the Halloween spirit while also crossing all of your favourite rides off your to-do list! This special ticketed event includes a special parade, castle show, fireworks, merchandise and even food options! Plus, is there anything better than trick-or-treating around the Magic Kingdom? While we do not know precisely what the situation will be like for the Holiday season, the Magic Kingdom usually holds similar events. For any updates on those holly-jolly events, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Walt Disney World Resort website!
Lastly, I absolutely love
Enchanting Extras activities as they add so much to your trip. I am so happy that you are looking into booking the
50th Anniversary Tour - talk about celebrating the World's Most Magical Celebration in style! Not only do you get to learn all about the Resort alongside your own VIP tour guide, but you even get to visit the Cinderella Castle Suite! To answer your question, the best way to learn more about this tour and any
VIP tours is to call their reservation center. To avoid long wait times, I would suggest calling as soon as the lines open at 7 A.M. or later in the evening.
I hope this was helpful, Cyndi, and that you and your ohana will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out. As we used to say: "Hey there, hi there, ho there, you're as welcome as can be!"
Have a magical day,
Ariane
