Hi Misty, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Walt Disney World during the holidays is one of my favorite times of year to visit. There are so many decorative displays, festive foods and special events around every corner, it's nearly impossible not to get in the holiday spirit. Generally, the holiday decorations begin appearing, almost by magic, around the first of November. By the first night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which requires a separate admission ticket, the parks and resorts are fully dressed for the holidays. The 2014 party dates haven't yet been released, but often start in early to mid-November and run on select nights through late December. You can watch for updates to the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort page for party dates and complete information on the holiday festivities.
Although I've never been on Veterans Day myself, some unofficial sources I consulted show that crowds have been historically low to moderate around that time of year.
Happy vacation planning! If you have any other questions, please just let us know.
