I am looking to plan a trip to DW with my 3 children 12, almost 5, and 2.5 yr old. I have been told numerous times that it's a waste until my yougest is older, because she won't remember the trip or have fun. Please help with any suggestions?

    Hi Nicole!

I've been taking my children from very early ages. While they may not remember everything at two years of age, I certainly believe they can have fun at Walt Disney World! In fact, my opinion is it's the best family vacation because it's so easy to have fun with little ones, and the older children alike.

I would suggest you go ahead and plan that vacation. Your older children will thank you more than enough to make up for anything that your two year doesn't remember, and you will always have the memories to share from your magical trip.

A few suggestions to make your trip easier:

    •  Keep water and snacks on hand and stick to regular meal schedules.
    •  Stick to regular nap schedules, too.
    •  Sometimes a baby care center is just what Mom needs. It's a much more comfortable place to change diapers or clothing, and there are bathrooms that make it easy to take even your 5 year old. It's more of a calm regrouping area compared to the restrooms.
    •  If your little one is shy of characters, try a character dining experience so s/he has time to feel comfortable around the characters without pressure.
    •  Make your older kids day by using Rider Swap strategically, and they'll be able to ride attractions twice without waiting long in line the second time around!

You should also check out this Disney page with useful information including Attraction Height Requirements and Park Maps highlighting attractions geared for little ones.Of course, you should come back to the Moms Panel if you need any more help planning your vacation! I can almost promise that your two year old will have plenty of smiles to show you just how much fun s/he is having!
