Hello, I am looking to plan a trip to Disneyland toward the end of the year. I understand that things are still precarious given the covid 19 situation, but I was wondering if there was anything I could do to get a reservation into the parks and hotels?

Hey howdy hey, Kathy! You’ve got a friend in me at planDisney! I’m excited to hEAR that you’re planning an end-of-the-year getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth! I’d love to help you get started.

When it comes to making hotel reservations, you're in luck! Currently, Vacation Packages and Disneyland Resort Hotel reservations can be booked through December 31, 2020! As for theme-park reservations, here’s what we know so far: Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are temporarily closed, and will reopen at a later date, pending state and local government approvals. Once the parks reopen, theme-park capacity will be reduced with the help of a new park reservation system to help enable physical distancing. This new system will require all Guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. Hopefully we’ll hEAR more about this new reservation system soon. In the meantime, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and on Disneyland.com for all the latest updates and announcements.

Have you started thinking about where you’d like to stay, Kathy? I’ve been lucky enough to stay at all three hotels, and love each one for a different reason! My family enjoys staying at the Disneyland Hotel thanks to the thrilling monorail waterslides… I think my little Mouseketeers could ride them all day! Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is another favorite of mine, thanks to the convenient theme-park access to Disney California Adventure Park, and the beauty of the property – both inside and out! Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is another great option, thanks to the awesome rooftop pool and gorgeous views of Disney California Adventure Park.

To help you prepare for your upcoming trip, I recommend checking out this helpful page about the Resort’s phased reopening, and what it will look like for Guests. Since face coverings will be mandatory for Guests ages 2 and older, you won’t want to miss these adorable Cloth Face Masks, available now on shopDisney.com! These are my favorite masks to wear, since they don’t move when I’m talking. Plus, you can’t beat the soft material and the adorable designs and patterns!

I hope we have more information for you soon, Kathy! Sending pixie dust as you start planning your Disneyland Resort vacation!
