Hello Erinn! The most magical time of year, spent at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Just the sound of that makes me want to put on my Mickey Mouse ears Santa hat and listen to Christmas music!
Planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort takes time, so I don't feel it is really ever too early to start planning, especially when planning to visit over the holidays! The Walt Disney World Resort goes above and beyond to decorate in a way that makes every Guest feel the joy of the holiday season!
One piece of advice that I want to begin with is that the Walt Disney World Resort has temporarily paused new ticket sales and Disney Resort Hotel reservations. This is being done during the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. But, when the time comes for new ticket and resort packages to be booked, I encourage you to do so! You can then begin to really plan ahead!
If you book and have to change, or cancel, your reservation, you can do so without penalty in most cases as long as you provide timely notice. Timely notice can differ based upon the type of booking or reservation that you make. As always, cancellation policies are subject to change. Once new reservations start to be taken you should inquire about the change or cancellation policy at the time of booking.
Erinn, I encourage you to visit the Disney Parks Mom Panel with any other questions that you have as you continue to plan! I also recommend that you visit the
Disney Parks Blog where you can find the most up-to-date announcements regarding how Walt Disney World Resort plans on getting everyone back to the magic!
