Hello Sheila,
Can you hear it? Can you feel it? That something magical in the air is the spirit of the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort. It's wonderful to hear you're looking to plan a Christmastime visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth."
Here at planDisney, we're Guests just like you who look forward to celebrating all the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort. We love to share our suggestions based on our own Disney destination vacations, especially those trips we take during the holidays. The Christmas season is always one of my favorite times to visit. And this year, with the
Disney Very Merriest After Hours, and all the
special holiday offerings, the season is certain to be filled with merry delights.
There are two approaches I typically recommend to Guests looking to plan their Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The first approach lets you use the
convenient online planning and booking tools to book your own vacation yourself. Of course, you won't be entirely on your own, because you can always reach out to the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 939-7702 if you have questions about the vacation package you're booking. I'll share more tips on booking your own vacation package in a moment.
The second approach I often recommend is for Guests looking for more full-service, end-to-end vacation planning help. You can do a quick web search for an "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner" and choose one to assist you. Travel agencies who have earned this special distinction can offer their expertise and their free-to-you services to put together your vacation package.
No matter which approach you choose, Sheila, you're sure to enjoy the spirit of the season at the Walt Disney World Resort.
If you're looking to book your own vacation package,
begin with the online booking tools. Enter some quick info about your travel party and your travel dates. You'll want to think through what type of
accommodations you prefer for your large group. You could, for example, look for a Deluxe Villa where you could all stay together and enjoy all the comforts and amenities of home. You could also look to book separate reservations for Resort hotel rooms and family suites. I think you'll find you'll have a variety of
Resort options that will be based around availability for this popular travel time.
The online vacation planning tools will also prompt you to select your theme park tickets for your package. I always like to recommend the Park Hopper Option that offers the flexibility to visit more than one theme park in a day.
After you book your vacation package, you'll want to make your theme park reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system.
Sheila, I hope this helps get you started with planning your Walt Disney World Resort holiday vacation.
Here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!
Jerry
