Welcome back and thank you for your question, Shaun! You’re right! A party of 5 can be harder to find a single room for, but like Cinderella’s Mice, “we can do it, we can do it, we can help our Cinderelly!”
There are 2 fabulous options for you at Walt Disney World Resort. Family suites were built for groups of five or six, for those that wanted 1 room with enough space to sleep and spread out. The first of these are the family suites at
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. These clean, basic two-room suites offer 1 Queen Bed, 1 Twin-Size Sleeper Chair, 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin-Size Sleeper Ottoman. The bed options are convertible which add some daytime lounging space to your trip. While All-Star Music is comfortable enough, my favorite 5-6 person room option is by far the family suites at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. These “value+” rooms are incredibly themed with a kitchenette, 2 full bathrooms (All-Star Music only has 1), a separate bedroom with queen size bed, and two full-size beds inside a sleeper sofa and murphy table. I had the pleasure of taking the sleeper sofa in a CARS suite on my trip last fall and I was surprised how incredibly comfortable it was. The Art of Animation family suites are available in Nemo, CARS, and Lion King themes, but I find that the CARS suites are often slightly less expensive than the others. You’ll be able to use all the Resort pools, swift bus system, and watch movies under the stars at night with these rooms, but for extra fun at this Resort, rent a surrey bike near building 4 and ride it around the Jogging Trail on Hourglass Lake.
If I can help you find more elbow room (or more magic) on your upcoming trip, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
