by looking at the picture galleries of the resorts the value resort hotel rooms look a lot like the moderate resort hotel rooms. would it be that big of a differance in the rooms if we stayed at the value resort or am i missing something?

    Hi Jeanne!

This is a great question.  The rooms at a Disney Moderate Resort are slightly larger than the rooms at a Disney Value Resort.  The biggest difference comes in the services and amenities at the resort.  The Disney Moderate Resorts have more elaborate pools with a water slide; none of the Disney Value Resorts have a water slide.  All, except for Port Orleans French Quarter, have a Table Service restaurant in addition to a food court.  You can also rent bicycles and water craft at most of the Disney Moderate Resorts.

If you are just going to be using your resort as a place to shower and sleep then I think a Disney Value Resort is fine.  If you want to lounge around your hotel for a half a day or more than a Disney Moderate Resort is definitely something to consider.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
