Welcome to planDisney, Colleen! Your upcoming visit is going to give you the best of both worlds - a magical day hopping between
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Magic Kingdom Park and a visit to
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park to relax and unwind in between some aquatic thrills like Summit Plummet or Teamboat Springs!
Colleen, when you purchase your
1-Day Park Hopper Plus ticket, it will be valid for a date range of two days, so you will want to select the first date of use, even if you plan to visit the water park before the theme park. In your case, purchasing your ticket for November 23 will allow you to use the admissions at your discretion on November 23 and November 24.
Since you'll be park hopping on your visit and it's also a day when Magic Kingdom will be hosting Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I recommend starting your day at Magic Kingdom. On party days, crowds do tend to be a little lighter, especially earlier in the day, since the park closes at 6 PM to non-party guests. Ending your day watching Sorcerer Mickey test his powers of good over evil and the magic of his imagination in
Fantasmic! is one of my favorite ways to finalize the magic of a Disney day!
I'd also love to share a few additional suggestions to consider to help make the most of your split day:
- At 7 AM, you will be eligible to join the Virtual Queue for Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. This is a complimentary queue that gives you a boarding group to return to the attraction at a designated time during your day!
- If you're interested in experiencing TRON Lightcycle/Run or Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you can purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for these attractions to cut down on your waiting time in the standby queue. If you're staying as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, you can purchase these options 7 days before your park visit; all other guests can purchase these options 3 days before their park visit.
- At Magic Kingdom Park, some holiday snacks will be offered exclusively during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but others are available all day! Be sure to check out the Foodie Guide to make your list (and check it twice!) so you don't miss out on any seasonal snacks!
- To hop from Magic Kingdom to Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will catch a Disney bus just outside the main entrance. Buses run about every 20-30 minutes. You can also opt to use Minnie Van Service (a paid rideshare service powered through Lyft) if you'd prefer a faster option!
Colleen, I hope this helps, and I hope you have the best time taking in all the fun of your various destinations! If you have any other planning questions before your arrival, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! We're always hopping with excitement to help you plan for the magic!
See you real soon,
Alison
