Hey howdy hey Kellyann and welcome to planDisney! Walt Disney World Resort is such a magical place, is so accommodating to bigger parties and a great way to experience the magic together! I love traveling with the whole family and enjoying time experiencing all that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer from the fantastic amenities at each
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, everything the
Theme Parks have to offer as well as
Disney Springs. Truly a vacation unlike any other with bigger parties.
One of the big benefits of staying on site is the variety of options that you have when it comes to planning your hotel accommodations. There are so many exciting and unique offerings with all of the accommodations from Disney Resorts Collection hotels that you are sure to find enjoyment for the entire group. One hidden gem to be aware of with bigger parties are the options of bigger rooms at certain resorts, like our favorite
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Here you have the option of three uniquely themed
family suites with the ability to sleep six adults per room. These rooms are bigger with several sleeping areas and entertainment areas, enough room for everyone to have some space!
If you still need more room and division, booking two rooms is a great way to go. You are right, you can do this totally online through the
Walt Disney World Resort site and yes you will have to pay for both rooms with a separate $200.00 deposit. Aside from that, with
My Disney Experience account, you can connect everyone in the party here so everyone will be included in the planning from dining, attractions and entertainment in the parks. It is super easy to set up and really helpful to have a select few be in charge of the details of reservations rather than everyone having to do this separately.
After you book your trip, make sure you keep your confirmation numbers handy as you are still able to call
guest services and have them put in a request to make these rooms as close as possible for your arrival. In some instances, they are also able to make these rooms connect with lock off type rooms which ensures enough private space but close proximity to the whole party.
I hope this helps and if you have any other questions, we love talking all things Walt Disney World Resort here at planDisney so keep the questions coming!
Happy planning,
Nick
