Hi Linda! Wow! Thinking about a weekend getaway to the most Magical Place on Earth sounds great! We’ve got less than a month to plan your visit! We got this!
Let’s start by heading to the
Walt Disney World Resort website. When you arrive at the site, you will notice a banner across the top that states, “Build Your Vacation.” That’s the best place to start! You’ll need to enter your travel dates of October 6 through October 8, then enter your four adults and one child.
Next, you'll need to indicate a resort hotel to call your Disney "home." When it comes to selecting your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you might want to enter a hotel that you are already aware can host five people. In the value category, I recommend
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Here you’ll be immersed in the world of Disney! In the moderate range, I recommend
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for a tropical getaway! In the deluxe range, I recommend
Disney’s Riviera Resort,
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, or
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. These deluxe resorts are stunningly beautiful! Also, be sure to check out the video that I included with this answer! My fellow planDisney panelists offer their best tips on selecting the "just right" resort hotel for your family!
After you enter your information, click “View Rates.” When the page appears with rates, you will want to click “Package.” This indicates that you want a resort hotel reservation and theme park tickets. You will then select the package option that works best for your family.
I should share that if you are selecting the “Package” option, you will need to purchase a minimum of two days of tickets. If you only want to attend Magic Kingdom for one day of your weekend, then you will book a resort hotel and purchase theme park tickets separately (no package).
Linda, as you build your vacation, you can use the “Chat Now” feature on the website. This feature will connect you with a helpful Walt Disney World Resort Cast Member who will be able to help you build your perfect fall weekend getaway!
Happy Planning!
