Looking for an opinion on bringing 4 year old daughter to Mickeys Holiday party in November. We want her to see the castle lit up and the holiday decor. Do we have to attend party to see this? My concern is the cost and how late it goes, is it worth it?

    Hi Carrie,

Welcome Back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I understand your concerns with the timing of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and your four year old princess.  It is a lot of extra money to spend if your four year old will fall asleep or be over-tired for the entire celebration.  Cinderella Castle will be beautifully decorated and lit every night, even when there is no party, so not to worry, that is one experience you won't miss!

In terms of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I have a four year old as well, and we have taken her to the Party in the past.  It truly is so much fun, and it is amazing how my sweet princess who usually turns into a pumpkin at around 7:00pm was able to stay up and excited for the entire party.  We had to drag her out of the Magic Kingdom after the theme park closed! I would say it totally depends on your daughter and how she will react to staying up late.  I always plan for one really late nigh per vacation, where the next day we hang around our Walt Disney World Resort, without much planned, so we can all recuperate.  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a great way to experience Magic Kingdom Park will smaller crowds, allowing for shorter wait times, and the opportunity to meet some special characters throughout the theme park.  The fireworks and parade are also simply magical.

I hope my answer helps you make a decision Carrie.  Either way, you will still experience the magic of the season while at Walt Disney World Resort!
