I am looking for one more ticket for the RunDisney, Marathon Weekend in January 2025 for either the 5k or the 10k. Can someone please help?!

Hey there, Cathy! Welcome to planDisney. I appreciate your spirit and desire to get another entry for a runDisney event. If you are looking for one more ticket, I first want to congratulate you for getting a bib and committing to run!

I wish I could help with another registration—I really do. Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 2025 was selling out as I held onto my place in the virtual queue, hoping that the timer would speed up for me. Bibs for runDisney events go quickly. At the marathon this year, there was a spectator with a sign that read, "You made it through Registration! Today is the easy part!" She got a lot of chuckles and high-fives.

Although I do not have the Fairy Godmother's wand that could add running shoes to your attire for the day, I do have a tip that may help sprinkle some Pixie Dust. I did not get Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge when registration opened in April. However, I eventually managed to get one of these coveted bibs with a lot of patience and tenacity.

If you have the Telegram app, you can sign up for "runDisney Alerts." When changes on the runDisney website indicate an event is open, the Telegram app sends alerts to everyone who is following. These alerts go from "races open" to "all races are now showing closed" so quickly, you'd think you were watching the 100-meter Olympians pass by in a blur. You have to be ready and be quick. It is not guaranteed, but it is hope.

I also randomly checked the runDisney website, just in case. They say luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.

I hope you can secure registration for all the athletes who want to join you, Cathy. Walt Disney World Resort is the most magical place to race! Best of luck to you, too, in your training and prep. As you get ready for the weekend, please race back by planDisney with any other questions.
