Hi Kelly, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
My son thinks that
Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom Park is his personal barbershop, and insists that all his haircuts really need to happen there. (I mean, I don't blame him, but my husband hasn't yet bought into a trip to Disney every three weeks…we'll just have to keep trying.) We love the small-town feel and skilled work of the cosmetologists at Harmony Barber Shop. The stylists tell stories and jokes all through his hair cut, and even do a fun final ceremony at the end that makes him feel like he truly has had the most magical haircut of all.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has some great options too, but note that they do not cut hair. Their Knight Package includes hairstyling with gel and a sprinkle of colorful confetti, plus a sword and shield. There's also a deluxe version of this package that includes a knight costume. The Fairy Godmothers-in-Training make the experience at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique a special one, and if your sons love attention from the Princesses (mine collects Princess kisses), you'll want to be sure to stop by to meet a few when they're in their dashing get-ups.
There's a great account, including pictures, of the Knight Package in this Disney Parks Blog article.
Kelly, I hope this information helps you and your sons decide which experience sounds best for them. I think both are absolutely worth it and, no matter which you choose, be sure to take lots of pictures to capture their special moments and handsome new looks!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
