Hi Tiffany,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am thrilled that you are planning to dine at 'Ohana. The food is delicious and the setting just lovely.
Definitely check the time of the Happily Ever After fireworks for the day you want to dine at 'Ohana. When you click on the
Happily Ever After site, check the times using the calendar feature. On our visit last summer, the show was at 9:00 p.m. and our 'Ohana dinner reservation was at 8:35 p.m. Since we were celebrating my husband's birthday, we checked in 20-30 minutes early and requested a window table. Fortunately, they granted our request and we had such a great view of Cinderella Castle. The show's narration and music was also piped into the restaurant!
In between our servers bringing food, there were games and dancing - we even had the chance to learn to hula! On that visit, we stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort so it was easy for us to get from our room to the restaurant. If you are traveling from another resort or a theme park using
Resort Transportation, remember to allot enough time to get to your dining reservation. We use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to estimate transit time.
Tiffany, once you determine the time of the show, make your dinner reservations as soon as possible. While you are there, settle down and enjoy the "Ohana spirit - family is what matters!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
