Ahoy there, Emma! Welcome aboard planDisney and thank you so much for cruising our way with your question.
The new
4-night itineraries departing from Southhampton, England on the
Disney Dream look beautiful. I'm curious to know if you'll be choosing to cruise to Spain or France. I don't think there is a wrong choice to make in this case. Either itinerary would be brilliant!
Regarding a
pirate night on either of those sailings, I'm sorry to say that the crystal ball that I borrowed from Madame Leota the last time I visited the Haunted Mansion is still unclear on the issue. Pirate nights are typically reserved for the 4-night and longer itineraries sailing in The Bahamas, The Caribbean, or Mexico. Occasionally I hear tell of pirates boarding Disney Cruise ships outside of those waters, but it isn't always scheduled or acknowledged in advance.
My suggestion to you is to give Disney Cruise Line
a call within a couple of months of your sailing to see what information they have to share with you. As entertainment is subject to change, you may not know about a pirate night until boarding the ship. Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app from home. Once you step onboard the ship, the app will be your guide to everything that is happening around the Disney Dream. You'll be able to view your daily activity schedules, your dining rotation, suggested attire for the evening, and even the menus for dining options around the ship.
From home, you can use the app to reserve
Port Adventures and onboard fun once your
advanced booking window opens. I even like to use the app to check-in for my cruise 30 days prior to setting sail. My kids' favorite app function is the ability to view the character-filled countdown that ticks away the seconds till our big adventure. I hope you enjoy counting down the days till YOUR big adventure!
Please sail to planDisney again in the future if you have more questions. My pals and I are always happy to assist.
Have a day full of magic,
Adrianna
