We are looking for a new Disney experience. Do we have to rent the camp site befoe the RV, or does the RV company set this up? We are passholders, and not sure if we get discount for this resort. Thank you in advance.

Howdy, Burt! It is my pleasure to welcome you back to planDisney. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is one my favorite places in all of Walt Disney World, and I'm so glad you're looking to stay here and try something new! The Fort is certainly off the beaten path, and I love the dining options and serene atmosphere that it provides. I am happy to help you plan out your stay with a rental RV.

You'll want to start by booking your preferred dates on the Disney World website. Any special offers you are eligible for will populate just underneath the information bar that displays your travel dates and party size. Scroll down to take a look at the various campsites to determine if you'd like a Standard, Preferred, or Premium site. Complete this process before you arrange a reservation for your RV. If you aren't quite sure about where to rent an RV, there is a section under the "Amenities" tab on The Campsites page that lists Disney Featured Providers that you can call. These providers can both drop-off and pick-up your RV for your stay, and you won't even need to be present! That's what I call convenience.

If this will be your first time at The Fort, you may also want to consider renting a golf cart. These vehicles are so much a part of the ethos of campers at Fort Wilderness, and it makes getting around to the pools, amenities, and dining that much easier. Also, make sure you book a reservation at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. The Pioneer Hall players present a rootin' tootin' hullabaloo of a hoedown at this all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner and a show. You won't want to miss it!

You're going to have a fantastic time at The Fort, Burt! Book your dates, then arrange for your RV delivery and you'll be one happy camper. Come back and see me at planDisney if you think of any additional questions.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
