looking for a moderate/value solution for needing 2 bathrooms. Bringing mother in law to WDW

    Welcome back to planDisney, Krista!

Thank you for sending another question our way. We are thrilled to continue to help you plan pixie-dusted memories at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Staying at a Disney Resort hotel is truly a magical experience and I love bringing close family members along on our Disney vacations. However, as the mother of two girls, whenever we have a 5th of 6th Guest join our travel party, I also prefer the convenience of having a second bathroom in our room. I think this great feature offers more comfort and privacy, and allows everybody to get ready faster in the morning to go to the parks!
I highly recommend booking a family suite at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort or at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The suites can accommodate up to 6 Guests and offer not only two bathrooms but also a kitchenette and a separate bedroom with a queen size bed. I love having a separate bedroom because my husband and older daughter love taking naps and this way my mom and I can watch TV, use the second bathroom and enjoy the kitchenette to prepare snacks without disrupting their rest.

If you are travelling with little ones, I suggest looking into the family suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The hotel is stunning and will put you and your family right in the middle of classic Disney animation movies. The suites are themed after Finding Nemo, The Lion King and Cars, the Big Blue Pool is the largest pool in the Walt Disney World Resort, Landscape of Flavors offers excellent meal options for everyone in the family, and the hotel offers transportation to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios via the Disney Skyliner. Another option is to book two separate standard rooms that are not suites and requesting connecting rooms. This is a good alternative, but then you will not have the kitchenette, which I consider a great feature while travelling with kids. It was a pleasure answering your question today, Krista! I hope this helps you while planning and that you come back to visit us soon for more tips and advice.
