We are looking at moderate resorts and arriving Christmas morning with our 9 & 6 year old daughters and our 2.5 yr old son. Resort recommendations and Pkg or no pkg deal? Must see and dos for our age children? Reservations for meals?

Megan, I am so glad you stopped back by with another question for me.

So, in regards to resorts in the moderate level, I would recommend Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. Their Alligator Bayou rooms can accommodate up to 5 guests. There are rooms with 2 queen size beds and a pull-down bunk size bed (imagine a small twin size murphy bed). This resort is really lovely with its southern peaceful charm. This resort is closest to Downtown Disney, but fairly close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, too. Since this resort is more spread out, bus transportation runs from several stops around the resort. There are also lots of fun resort recreational activities like fishing, surrey bike rentals, and swimming at Ol' Man Island (the main pool on property). You can grab a quick breakfast at Riverside Mill Food Court or dinner at their table service restaurant, Boatwright's Dining Hall that is themed to look like a ship building warehouse in a southern shipyard.

Even though you are thinking about a moderate resort, I'd like to offer a nice alternative. For a slightly higher price, you could stay at a family suite in the brand-new Art of Animation Resort. While this is a value resort, these family suites offer a bit more room than the standard room at Port Orleans Riverside. They will accommodate up to 6 people. They have a queen bed in a bedroom and a full-size pullout bed and a full-size murphy bed, too. The other nice things about these rooms is 2 full bathrooms and a small kitchenette with microwave, sink, and refrigerator. This resort is absolutely amazing with its larger than life theming and one of a kind pool where you can hear music underwater! While I am a huge fan of Port Orleans Riverside, I would highly suggest considering Art of Animation for the added space and more whimsical theme that often appeals to the younger kids.

Once again, I've run out of room, but I can definitely offer some dining suggestions if you submit another question.
