We have been looking at a moderate resort (Port Orleans Riverside), but just recently I have looked at a deluxe resort (Wilderness Lodge). Is the deluxe resort worth it? We will be traveling with husband, 4 year old daughter, grandmother and myself.

We have stayed at both resorts and enjoyed them equally; but if given the option, we'd prefer the Wilderness Lodge.  I've always looked at the Wilderness Lodge as the not quite 100% deluxe resort because it doesn't  have all the amenities that the other deluxes have and only sleeps 4 to a room (the others sleep 5).  However, it does offer the following things that Port Orleans Riverside doesn't:  more table service choices, balconies, concierge level rooms, fitness center, kids' club, more theming with a jaw-dropping lobby, room service, and valet parking.  Also, the Wilderness Lodge is a Magic Kingdom resort, so it is a short boat ride to the park.  You may enjoy the close proximity if you plan on coming back to the resort for afternoon breaks/naps.  Finally, the Wilderness Lodge is a much smaller resort with only one bus stop; it is easy to move around the resort.  Port Orleans Riverside is, well, huge with four bus stops.   I've included links to the resorts so you could take a virtual tour of each to help visualize the differences.
