I am looking for a moderate hotel or a value hotel that has a microwave and a refrigerator in them. We are on a budget and a family member needs medicine heated up in the microwave on a daily basis. Is this possible or do we need to request a microwave?

Hello Aleen!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  My family and I usually stay at a moderate Walt Disney World Resort when we are on vacation, I've tried them all.

In each room, at all of the resorts, you will find a mini refrigerator for you to use at no extra charge.  We love this feature because we always bring soda and juice boxes with us to save some money while on vacation.  You can find several microwaves for you to use at any resort food court at Walt Disney World, the moderate resorts do not have them in the room.  If you must have a microwave in your room, I suggest looking into a family suit at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  It is considered a value resort price wise but it is very nice.

My favorite moderate resort is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  The tropical feel of the resort really puts us in vacation mode when we arrive.  The Cast Members that work there are always so nice and helpful, they are some of my favorites.  We love how spacious the rooms are, we never feel like we are in each others way.  The slight Nemo theme in the rooms is really fun without being over the top.  The pool area is great for people of all ages.  You can find a play area for small children, two water slides and water cannons for more adventurous children and adults and two enjoyable hot tubs for some relaxation.  The Old Port Royale food court offers a variety of options to please any palate.  I recommend the Royale Sandwich with the fresh made chips, yum!  The kids meals are great here too, my daughter especially loves that some of them are served up in a sand pail accompanied by a shovel.  So fun.

If you have any other questions about a resort or anything else regarding your vacation, please feel free to ask.  Have a magical day.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
