Bright Suns, David!
My hopefulness just jumped learning that you are bringing additional Resistance allies to Batuu. The First Order has grown increasingly bold and we are in need of support. You are wise to schedule time for your Jedi-in-Training to visit the Gatherers at
Savi's Workshop!
My husband and I faced a similar dilemma when our girls insisted on learning the ways of the Force when they were 12-years old. As part of their journey, we took them to Savi's Workshop. All four of us built our own lightsabers. So, they were allowed to build independently while we built although we were certainly there if they needed us. However, depending on what age your younglings are, they may not be able to complete the build without more direct supervision. I will say that the build is not easy and will require them to focus while building at a fairly swift pace. If you have someone else who could join you as a Guest, that might be helpful.
As you prepare for your journey, consider how you will store your lightsabers once your build is complete. We carried ours with us throughout the park that morning, took a break mid-day and dropped them off at the resort and then headed back to the park. Know also that reservations are hard-to-get, so be prepared to book right as your
booking window opens which currently is 60 days in advance of arrival. If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you will be able to make reservations starting on day 60 prior to arrival for the length of your stay up to 10 days.
David, be sure to also stop by
Oga's Cantina to catch up on the latest news from across the galaxy. Practice your flying skills on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and use your
Star Wars: Datapad to translate galactic languages and scan encrypted cargo. We stand ready to join forces!
Good journey,
Donyell
