We were looking for a last minute trip to Disneyland for next week… 28th and 29th of December. I looked and there are no tickets for those days online. Is there anything we can do?

    Hiya Wade! Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like you're ready to feel the magic at the Disneyland Resort! I can't blame you. I'd like to be walking down Main Street U.S.A. right now in search of a Mickey-shaped treat while I head to my next attraction. I'd be happy to help guide you in the right direction.

Wade, I see that you were hoping to visit The Happiest Place on Earth today! I apologize if I'm a bit late to the party, but I'd love to share some information that may help you in the future. The Disneyland Resort requires all Guests to have theme park reservations to enter the parks. The reservations will be for a specific park on a specific date, though you can adjust them based on availability. If you see that there are no tickets or theme park reservations available on the Disneyland Resort Website for the days you'd like to visit, you will not be able to purchase tickets at the gate and bypass this system. If you're really in a pinch and would like to visit on only certain days that are currently unavailable, you may luck out if you stay diligent by following my strategy below!

The Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar will become your new sidekick! This calendar shows which parks are available to book on each date. If your date is unavailable, there is a possibility that that could change. Guests change their plans all the time. If one Guest cancels a theme park reservation, it becomes available for another Guest to book. I recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar every day, even multiple times per day, in hopes of seeing your preferred dates become available.

If the pixie dust doesn't quite bounce your way this time around, you could always spend some time in the Downtown Disney District. There is endless shopping, delicious dining, and more tasty treats than you can imagine in this outdoor shopping haven. You'll find more than enough magic to fill a full day. It just may look a bit different than a traditional theme park visit.

I hope this helps answer your question today, Wade!

    Have a magical day,

    Ashley
