I am looking into the land and sea packages for 2011 when the new cruise ship Disney Dream will begin operation. We did Disney World this past Feb and it was soo magical...is the cruise portion just as Disney magical??

    Hi Connie,

Welcome to the Moms Panel, and thank you for your question!  This is a common concern, and becoming a "cruiser" sounds like a big leap from a Walt Disney World vacationer.

I completely understand how magical your last vacation to Walt Disney World could have been, as each and every vacation of ours is sprinkled with this same pixie dust.  That being said, dare I say....I have found the cruise portion to be even MORE magical, if you can believe it!

Imagine all of the magic, service and simple pleasure you experienced at Walt Disney World and then put all of it at a moments grasp with the most personalized pampering you can imagine.

Remember that cast member that made your visit to WDW extra special?  Imagine getting to interact with them every day of your vacation!  The cast members aboard DCL somehow can make you feel like you are the only person on the ship and take the time to make sure your vacation is Disney magical!

Remember the attention to detail that encompasses the Disney parks?  I'd say that DCL has gone almost "overboard" with their magnificent ships and the subtle (and in some places not-so-subtle) Disney atmosphere throughout.  They have beautifully crafted a mix of Disney decor with the elegance of turn-of-the-century ocean liners.

Remember the food and dining choices at WDW?  When cruising you have amazing dining experiences, all within a moments walk from your stateroom.  No monorails or bus transportation to get to experience a unique and different dining establishment - they are all under one funnel of the Disney cruise ships.  Add in the most amazing servers and chefs and your dining experience has "Magic" written all over it!

DCL takes the Disney experience to a whole new level.  Once I experienced a Disney Cruise I immediately found myself wanting to shorten the land portion of my vacation and extending the sea portion.

    Good luck with your decision!
