Hi there - looking to know exactly when I can book dining. I know it's 180 days out, but if we arrive October 30, what TIME can I start the process. I've seen different times. THANK YOU!

Hello, Linda. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I am so happy to see that you are already thinking about making dining reservations during your Walt Disney World vacation. The best places fill up so quickly but having a plan is going to work out in your favor! You are correct, you can make your advance dining reservations 180 prior to your vacation start date. If you are making those reservations online, you can do so starting at approximately 5:45 am but I've had the best luck right at 6:00 am. If you would like to make your reservation by speaking with a Cast Member over the phone, the reservation hotline opens at 7:00 am. Either way, make sure to set your alarm because you don't want to miss out on all the great options!

Speaking of options, I have a few favorites if you are open to suggestions. If you are looking for a fun character breakfast, I suggest checking out Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort. It's a great buffet with plenty of options to please everyone in your group plus you get to see Mickey and his friends in the beachwear and it's just the cutest thing! For an upscale meal, I have really been enjoying STK Orlando at Disney Springs lately. The steaks are always cooked to perfection and I just can't get enough of their freshly baked bread with blue cheese butter and chive oil on top. Wow! If you are wanting to make reservations in Magic Kingdom Park, I always suggest lunch at The Plaza. Lunch is such a nice reprieve from the Florida heat and crowds and it's a little easier on the pocketbook. The Plaza fries are sinfully delicious and the view of Cinderella Castle can't be beat.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
