I am looking for information on making reservations for breakfast at park before opening and for making lightsabers.

    Hi there, Cole!

Welcome back to planDisney! Choosing some extra magical experiences for your next trip is always fun...and sometimes it's hard to pick!

First up, let's talk dining reservations. There are a few different character meals across the Disneyland Resort, but if you want to have breakfast in Disneyland Park with some pals then Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn is the spot for you! Of course, you could also enjoy a delicious breakfast at Carnation Cafe (Mickey Waffles!) and enjoy the atmosphere of Main Street, U.S.A. while you fuel up for your day. Sometimes there are reservation times available before the official park opening time, it just depends on the day. Because those first minutes in the parks are when it's least crowded, I often prefer to have a snack in my hotel room and then enjoy a late breakfast instead! Dining reservations can usually be made up to 60 days in advance, and are highly recommended.

Now, are you one with the Force? You certainly will be when you venture into Savi's Workshop to construct your own elegant lightsaber! You can make reservations for this one-of-a-kind experience up to 60 days in advance on the Disneyland website. When you arrive you will meet with one of Savi's Gatherers to select your path:

    • Peace and Justice
    • Power and Control
    • Elemental Nature
    • Protection and Defense
These paths will determine the components of your lightsaber hilt. You will then select the heart of your lightsaber, a Kyber Crystal, to complete your journey. It is truly a unique experience!

Cole, with a good breakfast and a unique lightsaber, you'll be ready to take on any foe in the galaxy! It looks like your quest is still off in the distant future, but you are wise to begin your Padawan training, I mean planning, now. Check the Disney Parks Blog often, there are often important transmissions there for the future of the parks. And if you have more questions, feel free to send them my way! I'll do my best to guide you down the right path. May the Force be with you!

    Keep moving forward!
