We are looking for information about a last minute trip to Disney World.

Hey there, Meg, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! Booking a last-minute Walt Disney Visit is always my family’s go-to strategy! We have to be ready to drop everything, and head to Central Florida with very little notice. Planning a last-minute visit can be very rewarding, but does require quick decision-making to get everything secured with time to spare.

Meg, the first step I would recommend is reviewing the Reservation Availability Calendar. Walt Disney World currently requires a valid Theme Park Ticket and Theme Park Reservation for Guests to successfully enter the Theme Parks. The reservation availability can fill up quickly, so you want to make sure that your desired Theme Parks are available before you purchase tickets. I quickly glanced at the calendar, and it looks like some of the Theme Parks currently do not show availability for dates surrounding your arrival.

The next step is to secure your Theme Park Tickets and Theme Park Reservations as quickly as possible. If you are planning to stay in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel as part of your vacation, you can actually secure your hotel reservation and ticket purchase simultaneously. The great news is that your Disney Vacation Package can be booked online directly through The Walt Disney World website. One thing to keep in mind when booking a last-minute trip is that Resort hotel availability may be limited. If you run into issues finding availability, you can always reach out to a Resorts Hotel Reservation Cast Member for further assistance.

After you have your reservation booked, you can start looking for Disney Dining reservations. In my experience, this is the most challenging piece of last-minute Disney Vacation planning. I suggest looking for reservation availability daily until your arrival date. Availability usually opens as you get closer to your arrival date.

I hope this helps, Meg! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know
