I am looking for information on the dessert buffet at the Magic Kingdom. We have three kid ages 3-9 & I was wondering what was on the buffet? Do you feel that this is worth it for children or is it more of an adult event & is this still going on?

Hi Robyn!  The dessert party you are referring to is the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party.  I recently took some of my family members there and we all enjoyed the experience once again.

The desserts will range from simple cookies and brownies which the kids love to more sophisticated delicacies as key lime pie tarts, cheesecake tarts, banana cream pies, pecan pies, creme brulee, fresh fruit, peanut butter cups, kiwi tarts, puddings, etc.  These are of course geared to the adult tastes but what really gets the kids excited is the ice cream sundae bar. During the really warm months this will be hard to enjoy without melting everywhere but kids don't care!  For drinks they offer juice, water, tea, etc.  I made sure my family was hungry before going so we could taste as many fun things as possible.

Beyond the food the viewing of Wishes is unbeatable and you will have Tinkerbell fly down from the castle directly over your head. No need to get there early for a table as everyone has an assigned table with your name card on it. It is very well done and in the warmer months they have now constructed fans over your head to bring some breeze. During rain you are covered!

They only take reservations for this about 30-60 days out and you need to call dining to get one. 407-939-3463. If they say it is not available during your vacation it likely means they have not released the reservations yet. It is done nightly except during the special Magic Kingdom party nights for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and also not done on Christmas and New Years at this time. We love it!
