Welcome back to planDisney, Karen!My family's visits to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point have been life-changing! That's saying a lot, because we don't normally consider ourselves to be "beach people." So, not typically enjoying beach outings much but still having a phenomenal time at Lookout Cay is pretty big to me.On our most recent visit to Lookout Cay, we sailed with several friends. One family in our group rented a cabana at Lookout Cay while the rest of us enjoyed time on the family beach or the adult-exclusive beach. All three groups reported having an amazing experience. Those who spent time at the adult-only areas raved about the food and the relaxing atmosphere. Those of us at the family beach were spoiled with the best ocean swimming and local cultural offerings we could imagine. And our friends at the cabanas reveled in the luxury and service available there. So, to me, you really can't go wrong with whatever you might choose.Yes, there is food service at Lookout Cay's Mabrika Cove Cabanas. In addition to the regular menu offerings available at True-True BBQ and True-True Too BBQ, you'll also be able to request made-to-order steaks and more. And, of course, there is a delicious ice cream sundae bar. Cabana guests may also order drinks to be delivered to their private retreat. There is an assortment of snacks available in the cabanas as well.Whether it is worth it to reserve a cabana is somewhat subjective. I know my friends really loved it and would do it again. As for those of us who spent time at the family beach, we appreciated being close to the shopping and cultural offerings of Eleuthera. I feel like there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. As far as finding a convenient seat and umbrella, that was arranged for us by another friend who got off the ship and got to the beach really quickly. If you happen to be sailing in a concierge stateroom, I recommend asking your concierge host about priority disembarkation on the day of your visit to Lookout Cay.I hope you have a magical time, Karen!
