I am looking for info on what parks will have going on for new years eve. Info like were in parks events will be host and what will be happening at those locations? Is there a VIP area if so more info on that? Did anyone go last year? If so how was it?

    Hello Robert,

Visiting Walt Disney World Resort over New Year’s Eve is definitely on my “bucket list”. Although it can be a very busy time of year, with a bit of planning, you should still be able to ring in a magical 2019.

Although I may not have any practical experience with ringing in the New Year at Walt Disney World Resort, I know that there are typically several activities, such as special fireworks shows and other stage shows that are available on New Year’s Eve. Last year, the Disney Parks Blog highlighted all of the fun fireworks displays that were scheduled at the Theme Parks. While I can’t confirm whether all of these events will be offered once again this year, that post should give you an idea of what's typically offered that night.

As for VIP seating and access, including special experiences around Walt Disney World Resort, the Disney Parks Blog has already released some details about a few special events at Disney’s Contemporary Resort: Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration, Disney Countdown to Midnight: A New Year’s Eve Celebration and Disney Ink & Paint Club. In short, keep checking the Disney Parks Blog as we get closer and closer to 2019!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne
