Hi Krista,
It's lovely to see you stopping by planDisney with a question about planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! You will be happy to know that you can most certainly book a vacation package that includes a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets.
To book a vacation package, use the My Disney Experience
vacation package planning link. You will need to know your dates of travel, number of people in your party, and ages of any children traveling with you. Using the vacation package planning link, you can compare prices across different Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
Once you have selected a resort hotel, you can select the type of theme park tickets and number of ticket days. Prior to joining the Annual Passholder family, we would get at least four days of park tickets to be sure we could visit each theme park at least once during our stay. Once you pay the deposit, your vacation package will be held. Just be sure to pay the balance due by the due date.
If you do not yet have a
My Disney Experience account, I suggest that you create one as soon as possible. With that account, you can link your vacation package confirmation number. Your dining reservations and Disney Park Pass system reservations should also be linked in your My Disney Experience account. As you make reservations, check My Plans to be sure that all of your reservations are linked. If a reservation is not linked, find the email confirmation which should have been emailed to you, log into your My Disney Experience account, click on My Plans, then click on Add More Plans, and select
Link Reservations and Purchases.
I also recommend that you keep an eye out for the return of
Disney Dining Plans. When they are available for purchase again, you may want to include one as part of your vacation package. I suggest that you review some dining location menus to estimate how much it might cost for your group to dine without a dining plan and then compare those prices to the cost of a dining plan once up-to-date dining plan prices are released.
Krista, I hope this helps you get started! Check out the
Enchanting Extras Collection as well. There are some fabulous experiences in that collection and you may need to book them 60-days prior to your trip. If you have any young Jedi traveling with you, for example, you will definitely want to reserve time at
Savi's Workshop to build a lightsaber.
May the Force be with you as you plan!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
