Looking to get an idea on cost comparisons for a January/February trip. An Ariel room (no free dining plan, obviously) or another value resort (which may have a free quick service dining plan). One of the Little Mermaid rooms would be our first choice.

Hello Tobi-Dawne!  Historically speaking, when booking a promotion that includes free dining, you are paying rack rate for the room.  So the prices you see online, are pretty much the price you will pay for the room, if a free dining promotion is made available for your dining dates.

What I would recommend is to keep an eye on the Special Offers page.  Yes, it is possible a free dining plan will be made available for you during your travel dates but there may be other offers that work out just as well, such as a discount off the room itself.

I hope you are able to find a price you are comfortable paying for the Little Mermaid room.  I stayed at Art of Animation (Lion King) last year and I absolutely fell in love with the resort.  Good luck!
