I am looking for help in planning a trip next March 21st to the 27th 2027 for myself, my sister and brother in law and their son who is 11. prefer a two bedroom option or a room for them and one for me. Looking at all options, parks, dining.

Hi Elia and welcome to planDisney! A trip to Walt Disney World during Spring Break can be lots of fun. In fact, my family will be heading there those exact dates so you may see me there! Let’s break down your question piece by piece!

Lodging. Elia, you’re in luck! You’ll find several Resort hotels that offer 2 bedroom villas, complete with two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and an in-unit washer and dryer. For your travel dates, I saw availability at Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (which is walking distance to the Magic Kingdom!). For a more economical selection, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort offers family suites with a primary bedroom and two separate bathrooms. Family suites are themed to popular franchises such as The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo. Alternatively, many Resorts offer connecting rooms, although it’s important to note that you can only put in a request to have connecting rooms and such requests aren’t guaranteed.

Theme Parks. Now the fun part, the theme parks! For a 6-night stay, I would recommend getting at least a 4-, or a 5-day park ticket. This allows you to build in a rest day in the middle of your vacation, and trust me, you’ll want that rest day with all the walking (and fun) at the theme parks! With a 4-day park ticket, you’ll also be able to enjoy each theme park and all the unique theming and attractions they offer. Adding that fifth day allows you to double up on a park that your family wants to return to. You’ll be happy to know that Walt Disney World just released dates for the International Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT, which will coincide with your visit! Alternatively, you can upgrade your tickets to Park Hoppers, which allows you to visit multiple parks in one day. We like getting park hoppers and start a park day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and hop over to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT in the evening since Animal Kingdom often closes early.

Dining. Lastly, let’s go over all the great dining options. First off, Walt Disney World offers the Disney Dining Plan. There are several tiers based on how many table-service or quick-service meals you would like daily. Each person in your traveling party will also receive a daily snack as well as a refillable Resort mug valid for your entire stay. I’m a big advocate for character meals because they are a great way to see some of our favorite Disney characters in unique outfits and you avoid waiting in lines for character meet and greets! Elia, here’s a bonus tip! Make sure you download the My Disney Experience app so that you can Mobile Order quick-service meals. This eliminates time you’ll spend waiting in lines at restaurants and more time on rides!

Elia, hopefully this gives you a head start on planning for your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World. If there’s anything you’d like to go over in more detail or have any additional questions, feel free to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
