Hi there, Livia! I’m so glad you stopped by. Here at planDisney, we’re a group of real Guests, just like you, who’ve experienced the magic of Walt Disney World Resort time and time again, and we’re here to help you plan a trip that’s as unforgettable as your favorite Disney memories.
I get it, planning a Disney vacation can feel like navigating a jungle cruise (minus the witty skipper commentary). While Disney doesn’t offer a free travel agent to handle everything for you, the good news is that there are incredible resources to guide you through every step of the process. And in my opinion? Some of the best help you’ll find is right here at planDisney, where you can tap into the firsthand experiences and tips of seasoned Guests who know the ins and outs of planning the perfect Disney getaway.
Let’s take a quick spin through the big decisions you’ll want to consider as you start planning your adventure.
First stop: your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Walt Disney World has fantastic resort options that fall into three categories:
- Value Resorts like Disney’s Art of Animation offer fun theming and wallet-friendly prices. Perfect for Guests who plan to spend most of their time in the parks.
- Moderate Resorts, including Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, strike a balance between budget and comfort with lovely grounds, great pools, and a bit more room to spread out.
- Deluxe Resorts bring you closer to the magic, offering luxurious amenities and premium locations, like walking distance to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT.
Each resort has its own personality and perks, so the right one depends on your budget, travel style, and priorities (like proximity to a specific park or access to the Disney Skyliner).
Next up: theme park tickets. You’ll want to decide how many park days to include and whether you’d like the Park Hopper Option, which lets you visit more than one theme park in a single day. It’s great for maximizing your time, especially if you’re only visiting for a few days and want to catch some of everything.
Dining plans are also back and better than ever! There are two options to consider: The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan which includes two quick-service meals and a snack each day and the Disney Dining Plan which includes one quick-service and one table-service meal per night, perfect if you’re dreaming of character dining or signature restaurant experiences. Both plans also come with a Resort Refillable mug for unlimited refills of soda, coffee, and tea at your resort’s beverage stations.
And let’s not forget Memory Maker! This add-on lets you download all the Disney PhotoPass photos taken during your visit, including those amazing ride shots and iconic family portraits in front of Cinderella Castle.
Once you have your resort, tickets, and dining plan selected, that’s when the real fun begins! I’d love to help you book something from the Enchanting Extras Collection, like a fireworks dessert party, or give you suggestions on how to snag those hard-to-get advance dining reservations at the 60-day mark. I can also give you tips on how to use the Lightning Lane passes to breeze past the standby lines on your favorite attractions.
So keep those questions coming, Livia! We’re here to make sure your Walt Disney World vacation is filled with magic, memories, and just the right amount of planning to help it all go smoothly.
